Our estate
The house
The farmhouse, likely dating back to the 17th century, breathes history. Some parts might be even older, but every wall seems to whisper a story.
The last inhabitants of the farmhouse were the Bouzige family. Fernand Bouzige made wooden barrels for local winemakers and was the head of the wine cooperative in Auzon, where La Nougaterie des Fumades is now located. In 1989, he left the farm, and his cousin, Madame Frendo, inherited the estate. Eventually, she sold the farmhouse to Ronny & Jip in 1998.
When they entered the property, it was almost a ruin.
Floors, roofs, windows, shutters, electricity, plumbing — everything needed to be renewed. Only the sturdy walls remained standing. The restoration began in 1999 and would take twenty years, an intensive process of love and dedication.
Today, the farmhouse shines as a charming B&B. The 200 m² courtyard is adorned by two majestic mulberry trees, around 200 years old, silently watching the seasons pass. What was once a working farm with numerous stables now exudes warmth and tranquility. Five cozy rooms open onto the patio garden, a place where guests can relax, enjoy themselves, and feel at home in the rich history of Mas Bouzige.
The courtyard
The courtyard – the hidden gem of the estate
Here, a blissful peace reigns. The babbling of the fountain, the crickets setting the summer rhythm. An ideal spot to have breakfast outdoors, enjoy a drink, or dive into a good book. The old mulberry trees, faithful guardians of the estate for two centuries, spread their branches like a green parasol. In the background, the bells of the little church chime, as if time ticks a bit slower here.
Our swimming pool
The pool is just outside the mas and is your place for water fun and relaxation
Our 4×8 m saltwater pool (depth 1m70) is available for all our guests. Ideal for cooling off or floating lazily in the sun. The water is heated from early April to late September, so it’s also lovely to enjoy in spring and autumn.
The pool area is fully fenced and surrounded by colorful oleanders and stately cypresses. There’s a cozy covered terrace with seating area and plenty of sun loungers for extensive sunbathing or relaxing in the shade.

Some agreements
- Pool towels are included in your stay (changed once per week). Our towels may only be used on our property. Taking them to other locations is not permitted.
- Children under 12 are not allowed at the pool alone.
Parking
Free private parking available
One parking space for a car is provided per room.
Our parking is closed in the evening.
For the comfort of our guests, we have a charging point for electric vehicles.
